Community Medicine
Department of Community Medicine formerly known as Preventive and Social Medicine, was developed and started its functioning in 2016 under the leadership of Dr Lokesh Agrawal – the first Head of Department. The department is situated on the 2nd floor in Administrative Block.
Department of Community Medicine seeks to be a centre of excellence in public health education, innovative research, and community-oriented healthcare services. dedicated to fostering health equity, empowering underprivileged communities, and addressing global and local health challenges.
Aligned with the guidelines of the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the principles of Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME), the department integrates classroom learning with field-based experiences to ensure holistic understanding of public health challenges.
