General Surgery

: The Department of General Surgery at T S Misra Medical College & Hospital, Amausi, Lucknow was established in 2015. Brig (Prof) R K Shrivastava, Professor of Surgery and Surgical Oncology, AFMC, Pune was the founding Head of the Department of Surgery. After his elevation as Dean/Principal, TSMMCH, in Nov. 2016, Col (Prof) H S Rawat was appointed as the HOD Surgery. 2021 05 PG Post Gradate seats were allotted by NMC and in 2025 02 more seats were added. At present Dr. Mushtaq Ali is Head of department. The Department of General Surgery has since been upgraded and expanded to include various sub-specialties, as under: Oncosurgery Gastrointestinal surgery Urosurgery Reconstructive surgery Neurosurgery Minimally invasive surgery

Dr. Mushtaq Ali

Dr. Mushtaq Ali, a graduate & postgraduate from Gandhi medical college Bhopal, 1986 Batch. He is a fellow of the Indian Association of Gastro-intestinal Endo surgeons (IAGES) since 2010. He has joined the department since 2019. He has Published 11 in international & national journals and was the organizing chairman of proctology update 2026, which involved national faculties of eminence.
