The Department of Pharmacology at T.S. Misra Medical College & Hospital, Lucknow was established for undergraduate students in 2015 and for postgraduate students in 2023 with the inception of the institution to provide quality education in pharmacology and therapeutics The department is committed to teaching the principles of drug action, rational prescribing, and safe use of medicines to undergraduate students under the guidance of experienced.
Over the years, the department has developed well-equipped laboratories and adopted modern teaching methods including audio-visual aids and computer-assisted learning. It also promotes research activities and rational drug use, contributing effectively to academic excellence and the overall development of competent healthcare professionals.
The Department is led by Prof. Dr Rajeev Mishra, whose visionary leadership and academic expertise have significantly enhanced the quality of education and research. He actively fosters a culture of innovation, ethical practice, and evidence-based learning, guiding students and faculty towards excellence in pharmacological sciences.
