Pathology
The Department of Pathology was established in year 2015. The department is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical teaching, providing structured and competency-based training in general pathology, systemic pathology, hematology, clinical pathology, histopathology, and cytopathology. Teaching–learning activities included didactic lectures, practical demonstrations, small group discussions, tutorials, case-based learning, and internal assessments, ensuring outcome-based medical education as per NMC guidelines.
Diagnostic services of the department is in T.S. Misra Hospital, caters clinical load of the 1200-bedded hospital and include hematology, clinical pathology, histopathology, cytology, and ancillary laboratory investigations. The laboratories are equipped with modern instruments, automated analyzers, and adequate safety measures, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and timely reporting. Quality assurance protocols and standard operating procedures are strictly followed.
