General Medicine

The Department of General Medicine was established in 2015 and functions as an integral academic and clinical unit of T.S. Misra Medical College & Hospital, Lucknow. The department was founded under the leadership of Dr. V. D. Charan, who laid a strong academic and clinical foundation. The department was further nurtured by Dr. (Col.) D.K. Shukla and Dr. (Col.) Sudhir Mehrotra. In present Dr. Puneet Tripathi is Professor & Head. The postgraduate program (MD- General Medicine) was started in 2021 with 02 admissions per year. At present there 08 postgraduate seats per year. The department is committed to fostering clinical competence, ethical practice, and research orientation among undergraduates and postgraduates. Super-Specialty Units in Cardiology, Neurology, Nephrology and Gastroenterology are associated under department of General Medicine.
