With over 42 years of my life spent in the public health sector, I can confidently say that careers in medical sciences are one of the most challenging yet noble and rewarding careers that a person can pursue in his or her lifetime. My life experience also leads me to believe that successful doctors and researchers aren’t just people with deep technical expertise but also those that display the finest traits in human beings-ethics, compassion and selflessness.
